Opera is launching Opera Unite which hopes to turn every browser/computer into a server. Sending files directly from user to user, hosting your own content without 3rd party servers are among the many possibilities. This technology might change how people can use the web. And it will definitely make things harder on people trying to regulate P2P and file transfers.

Microsoft will try its best in the next few months to convince you that Bing.com is a superior search engine to Google. They have a massive ad campaign lined up to $100 million, many times what Google spends annualy. You can view Bing here. From our first few tests it looks pretty good. It is a shame their other services are not like this – Multimap, Ciao, etc. Hopefully they can get some competition going with Google so that search becomes even better for users.
