Not your conventional talk – w3haus creates the Twitter “real-life” talk

When asked to do a talk at the Rio Grand do Sul advertising week, w3haus decided on an unusual format – a real-life Twitter presentation. Member of the audience where given 3 signs: RT, @ and #fail which they could hold up at any time during the talk. The event proved a great success with the audience actively participating in the changing themes of the talk – all about online marketing and advertising.

Greenpeace BlackPixel project

Here is a nice awareness campaign by Greenpeace – the BlackPixel project. The idea is that if everyone installs the software on their computer, thousands of hundreds of Kilo Watts will be saved in the planet. The software works by turning black a very small portion of your monitor, this in turn uses less energy and saves electricity. More info in the video below:

A while back, w3haus also did a simple awareness piece along the same lines – to generate awareness for environment day, we changed Dellanno’s website from bright colours to dark. This had a nice awareness effect and also generated some buzz:

first billboard with free wi-fi!

Launched in the city of Porto Alegre in Brazil, the billboard allows anyone to connect via wi-fi and have internet access. Wouldn’t you like one of those near your house? The billboard will be moved around the city allowing different people to enjoy the free internet access.

Yes, on the 15th of April 2000, w3haus was born Created by 4 partners (picture above!) Rodrigo (me in the TV!) Chico, Tiago and Alessandro, the company has grown from 4 to 65 with 3 offices Porto Alegre, São Paulo and London!
